Robotnik has attended the 7th International Trade Fair for Automation and Mechatronics, Automatica 2016. Automatica is the leading trade fair for industrial automation and mechatronics. This four-day event (21-24 June) gave the participants a comprehensive look at the latest developments in automation. More hundred people visited Robotnik’s stand at the service robotics exhibition area, where details of the AutoWinSpec project and potential application of the system were disseminated.

The World Conference on Non-Destructive Testing is the most important event for the NDT community. The WCNDT 2016 Conference, which attracted around 2.500 participants and further 1.400 additional exhibition visitors, took place on 13-17 June 2016 in Munich, Germany.
670 presentations in nine parallel sessions, 273 exhibitors and more than 100 posters gave an overview to the visitors about the latest research findings and applications in non-destructive testing. During the conference, exhibitors had the opportunity to present their newest developments, NDT applications, and research results.
Two AutoWinSpec partners (TWI and InnoTecUK) participated with their own stands at the conference, where information on the AutoWinSpec project was made available to the visitors.

Full system trials were successfully performed on an installed WT (Vestas V47-0,67MW) in CRES wind farm in Lavrio-Greece in June 2016.

The complete system was extensively tested on two full blades placed horizontally on the ground. On a blade part of a WT ~0,5MW and on one part of a WT ~1,3MW. System was further upgraded ready for the upcoming trials on an installed WT in CRES wind farm,

AutoWinSpec partner Stirling Dynamics attended “All-Energy”, the largest renewable and sustainable energy exhibition and conference in the UK. The event brings together the UK’s largest group of buyers from the bioenergy, solar, offshore and onshore wind, hydropower and wave & tidal sectors, as well as those involved in energy storage, heat, low carbon transport and sustainable cities solutions.
Besides the conference and exhibition, the “Giant Networking Evening” provided opportunity for the visitors to continue doing business and networking after the close of Day 1 in an informal atmosphere. During the event, that took place on 4-5 May 2016 in Glasgow, Stirling Dynamics had discussed with interested stakeholders about the AutoWinSpec technology.

Hardware integration completed successfully. Motion controller optimized

The European Robotics Forum is one of the he most influential meeting of the European robotics community. The 2016 edition of this annual conference took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 21-23 March. About 500 experts from across Europe presented their strategies to maximize the benefits of robotics in the economy and European society for the coming years. The AutoWinSpec partner Robotnik had a stand and information on the AutoWinSpec project was made available to visitors at Robotnik’s stand.

The Global Robot Expo is the most important robotic trade show in Europe, showcasing the latest technologies and developments of robotics in every single field, from educational robotics, to industrial, consumer, professional service robotics, healthcare, AI, software, IoT, smart cities, related technologies or drones. Madrid hosted this prestigious event on 28-31 January 2016 with more than 10,000 visitors. Robotnik took part in the fair as exhibitor and had the possibility of presenting the AutoWinSpec project at its stand.

Robotic system designed, manufactured and tested in the lab. The upgraded version was sent to the UK for the NDT system integration and motion controller embedding.
